6,000 Model Schools to be set up at Block Level in Rural Areas
Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has understood the need of basic education in the rural areas. As a result of that it has given its nod of approval for setting up of 6,000 model schools at block level as benchmark of excellence in rural areas across the country. The main motto of this project is to provide quality education in the rural areas of the country. The total amount, which has been allocated for this mega project, is Rs 1080 crore, and it is for the year 2012-13 only. Read More Here
