Both you and Rand are anti-american. You spread anti-american BS all over this forum.

I'm not against government, I am against excessive, big, liberal government.

Firstly, no where does it say how the USA has to run the country economically. But secondly, I am not communist, I am just pointing out that this goal of 'social mobility' is BS because it doesn't tackle the issue of inequality and in fact it acts as a justification for inequality.

You always say that I am ignorant because I don't study what others have said on the issues we discuss, but I don't need the opinions of others to form my own opinions.

It is only a justification on top of other, secular, justifications.

We have every right to spread American values to the rest of the world. We can make the world a better place by making it more American.

Homosexuality is deeply wrong and it is damaging to society and kids. You only have to look at homosexual amorality, HIV rates etc.

I know that History in our country is just about teaching American kids to hate their own country.

I've read your comments on here and I'm disappointed you've only had negative responses. It seems as if the British have abandoned their ideals of freedom for a failed brand of left wing lunacy, much akin to much of Europe. I don't know why there is such anti-American sentiment, when the US actually has the spine to stand up for themselves and what is right (values which the UK used to die for). The US does not take the level of BS that the UK does, i.e. not being allowed to defend the home from burglars and giving in to Islamic tyranny. The UK has become a nation of self-hating, pathetic, snot-nosed pseudo-socialists who are too scared and weak to fly their own flag. They scoff at the US whilst being blind to the failings of socialism in Europe.

Funnily enough, I'm British.

It's certainly free-er than most but endless civil-right and liberty abuses are conducted by an out of control military-industrial complex on an almost daily basis.

The fact that the federal government even allows states to have the death penalty (even if many choose not to) is pretty damming.

The people living in the death penalty states want it and we live in a democracy
I'm not sure what you are suggesting, having the federal government subvert democratic principles and impose their moral standards on a disagreeing majority? This isn't a dictatorship

This is devolution gone mad and there are times when the federal government should have the mandate to curtail extreme localist policies such as this one.

We don't scoff you economically so there's no reason to make a false statement about us being socialist, that being said however the USA is a social joke in some areas and in that regard i am proud to say that the UK is decidedly socially European.
With an incarceration rate per 100,000 over double that of Iran, maybe not

Do you understand how exponentials work? If there were no inbreeding whatsoever and ignoring population growth, you would have ~100 million tenth cousins, perhaps more.

What is your maths? Because that is a ridiculous figure. More like 1 million at best, which is exactly how many people could be accurately described as the global elite and this network of bloodlines.

So why is it that 0.01666666% of the world's population all happen to be both closely related and occupy the highest positions in society, politics, business, finance, royalty? Even with your exaggerated figure that's only 1.6%.

Besides, we're talking mostly 8th cousins and closer. I only gave the example that Dick Cheney is the tenth cousin of Obama, meaning that he could be 10th cousins with 99.984% of the rest of the world's population, but he's not. Or even with your figure 98.4%.

I think for me, as an American, the biggest difference I see between here and the US is free speech. Here there are laws against causing 'mass offence' and making 'insulting comments' - but in the US there is no such thing.

So when someone made a mean comment to Tom Daley about his dad, he was arrested and cautioned - that is a completely alien and farcical concept to me. You can say anything you want in the US and you can publish a totally false newspaper article and you're fine.

The scoffing against Americans on this thread is predictable and actually feeds arrogant Americans's egos, since everyone seems to think Americans are hugely arrogant and believe our country is the best. (?!)

If you feel like you can generalise a country of 310 million, I don't think it is the population of 310 million who are arrogant. If you think two people on TSR represent the USA, then you're sorely mistaken.

I don't know who these people are, although the type of American who would call themselves 'made in the usa' probably isn't someone I would get on with either.

So you've been to a touristy area of Florida. I'm from Louisiana, and I don't know many people like that. It's like me going on holiday to Newcastle and expecting the whole of the UK to be the same.

I appreciate you've been to the US twice, but even if you met 100 million people who were like that, that's only 1/3 of the population - not even a majority.
America = land of the drones

Wait and see.

As I said, even if you met 100 million people who were like that, that is still not grounds to say all Americans are like that. You clearly have a personal issue with the USA, but I find your generalisations about American people to be confusing and inaccurate, especially given my experiences, and I can guarantee that I have more experience of the USA than you do.

Yeah, this kind of thing will be all over their skies in the not-so-distant future:
