My GCSE Results were as follows: English Literature A*... Electronics A*... Mathematics A... Physics A... Chemistry A... Biology A... Geography A... Business Studies A... Religious Studies A... Spanish A... English Language C
As you can see the 'C' grade for English Language sticks out like a sore thumb, and I was wondering how important will this be when applying for University. (I want to study Economics or Finance) I am taking the following for AS currently: Mathematics Physics Geography Economics Critical Thinking
This is my first ever post so apologies if it's in the wrong section etc
Your other results and even the way your post is written indicates that grade is an awful reflection of your ability in written language. Anyone with half a brain should be able to tell it is an anomalous result. If you do well in Economics AS and Geography AS I think you should be able to rest easy.
Though English grade C is generally a required GCSE for university, I doubt they'd even notice the grade when it is stacked against the rest of your subjects. It would seem apparent that it was just an irregularity.
5 A-levels though? Is the critical thinking a full course, or just the AS?
