I am freaking out about this exam.

I have all the information but no evaluation information. I feel like we've not been taught it at all? :frown:
hey, l'm just trying to figure it out, l'm guessing the first question may either be realists or functionalists, but l have no idea on the second question :frown:

Hey Guys, my teacher gave us some pretty convincing reasons on which topics are most likely to come up. She said that Marxism, Functionalism, Criminal statistics and crime and ethnicity! good luck!

I'm just going to learn Marxism, Realism and Criminal statistics and hope for the best..
Fug it, I'm just going to learn how to answer the 45 mark question on marxism and if it doesn't come up as an option I'm screwed

My teacher said today that Ethnicity and crime may come up and also for the 15 marker she said it could be possible for delinquency or Moral panics! I am praying that realism does not come up I really don't like it!!

Marxism seems more likely as it's quite a big topoc and has never come up yet

If Marxism comes up I will cry with happiness, if realism comes up I may as well not do the exam.

Marxism came up in 2010 and so far WJEC have used different topics for each paper.. hoping it's not criminal statistics can't put all my notes into a 45 mark question :frown:

Well in 2012 summer paper- i think labelling theory came up. Oh god What is delinquency? haha i don't really mind about the 15 marker just want the 45 marker to be on marxism!
Mixed feelings, I liked the crime and gender question but wasn't a fan of the Anomie one.. where I felt I never had much to write

I don't know how to feel about the paper. I thought the Anomie one was alright and I chose the gender question... I just hope I put down the right things... Im also panicking with the amount of evaluation I done.. I don't feel it was enough!

I wrote a paragraph for the gender question about:

Lombrosso, Freud and the Biological theory of Crime and Gender
Pat Carlen and the Gender and Class Deal
Freda Adler and the rising in crime of women
Talcott Parsons and the Socialisation of Men and Wome
Otto Polacks, Masked Female Offender.

I tried to put 2 points of evaluation for each.

I used 7 evaluations from Sociologists and I used 2 evaluations in General.

The thing that worries me is the question said "Evaluate Sociological theories of the differences between gender and crime" and missed the word "Outline and Evaluate" so I'm wondering if we were supposed to write about the actual theories or just evaluate them?

I got an A, 66/80 which I'm pleased with because I only wrote a paragraph for Anomy
