What do we think? Pretty interesting eh? Using viruses inside of normal cells to get inside tumors and destroy them. :smile:

Though... since it's the 21st I must indulge the apocalyptic fantasy - it pangs very much with I Am Legend I think :biggrin: - if it produces zombie/infected mice then we know we're on the wrong track...

Viral treatments were a fascinating part of my course this year, the problem is the MASSIVE safety risks concerned with mutations.
I'd like to see the original research paper. Newspapers often exaggerate scientific findings, even if they're respectable ones.

Quite interesting. Could one rule out the possibility of an hyperimmune response?

Also, transposable elements of viruses could affect the efficacy.

Anyone heard of the colchicine therapy developed by researchers at the University of Bradford? Quite smart me thinks.

True. And also, treatments don't reach phase 4 a lot more often than one would think.
