Student discount card for year 11's?

Hi there tsr, first time poster long time lurker.

recently turned 16 and with increase in responsibility came an increase in train and bus fairs.

I had a quick look on the Internet, but I couldn't find any concrete information about a student card for year 11's. Next year I wish to start my IB course so I'll be staying in full time education.

http://www.16-25railcard.co.uk/ getting a card for £28 a year gives you 1/3 off all rail fares, I have one and it's saved me a lot!

The rules for NUS are that you are over 16 and in further or higher education.

I think its because once you leave school its your choice to study ... whereas in yr 11 its compulsory
