Liberal Arts

Hi there, I really want to do the Liberal Arts degree at Kent, but I noticed on the entry requirements section that a B in GCSE maths is required for the course... at GCSE, my whole class were forced to do the Foundation paper after the results for the 1st exam had been given back, for various reasons, and so I ended up getting a grade C overall, because it wasn't possible for me to achieve a grade any higher than this. However, in Core/Additional science, I achieved a high grade B. Could this be an alternative?

I also achieved a high B in GCSE English.
Hi Katrina,

I would recommend explaining your situation to our admissions staff and see what they suggest. Their email is [email protected]

Maths GCSE requirements are usually quite difficult to get around, but, I think if you can provide a reference or explanation from your teacher confirming that you couldn't have achieved higher than a C, that might help your case.

Thanks for your message, and good luck!
