How particular are universities about GCSEs?

Say for example you didn't get your A - Cs in science but got A/A*s in everything else, maybe a few B/Cs, and at A Level you got As. Would the lack of science jeopardise your chances? I know it depends on what the degree is in, but generally more humanities related courses? English, History, etc?

I am studying within the humanities at Warwick and achieved 1A*, 7As, 2Bs at GCSE/IGCSE. I don't know what else to say, other than I hope that helps you in some way.

EDIT: Why have I been negged for this!? TSR you are terrible

You need to look carefully at the specific admission requirements for each course at each Uni - they will all be different. If you cant find this info on the Uni website or it isnt clear, then email the Uni for clarification.

If a Uni asks for SPECIFIC grades/subjects at either GCSE or A level, then this is what they want and usually because you simply wont cope wit the course without it.
