Textile Design at Manchester University

Would any kind souls like to do a good deed and help to ease my late-night fretting about university? :frown:

I'm a 'mature' student as I will be 22yrs old when I begin in Sept 13 and I'm applying solely to Manchester for the textile design and design management course.

I did not, however, complete A-level art & design (A-levels achieved: Law A*, Psychology A, English Language A - oh and A* GCSE art). I have undertaken private study and short courses in textile related areas in the past 2 years, such as dressmaking, home interiors, screen and lino printing, etc etc. Manchester have said I can provide a portfolio on the open day to show that I can cope with the demands of the course.

So.... being out of the loop for a few years I am extremely nervous about competing with others that will be fresh out of their Art&Design a-level.

Could anybody offer any advice or help for the interview and my portfolio?

Anything at all would be really appreciated!
