You sure want a lot, eh? :p:

Well, you'll probably have a good time wherever you go to be honest. It's what you make it, etc. Though I've read the student village is a bit (read: VERY) dry socially so that's what put me off en-suite. Are you sure you NEED ensuite? Not only is normal with washbasin cheaper, but those halls tend to be better from what I've read/heard/been told by people at Reading as far as socialising goes (older buildings I guess, but hey... you won't spend too much time in there anyway). I was like you earlier on in that I wanted ensuite and self catered, but in the end I settled for catered with washbasin in Windsor.

I mean, if you're dead set on self catered, go for it, but from what I've seen the "normal" halls would probably be more fun. I'd recommend Windsor and Childs as they definately have a good social life (Windsor is catered, Childs is both self and catered. A mate of mine (he's called Godders on here) wanted self catered and chose Wessex, which seems to be a nice hall for that.)

Hope that helps a bit...
