How to revise?

May seem like a stupid and common question but I am struggling. I got good GCSE grades and I had good revision techniques however of course for GCSE's you are spoon fed, my teachers gave me revision booklets they had wrote with example essays and clear tables to compare and to be able to structure everything in my head correctly. However for AS it's different, I have bought all my books and stuff from amazon and it has all the information but I am struggling to revise properly. I do essay based subject; Sociology, Politics, History and English Lit. Does anyone have any revision tips or things they do themselves to make all the information very clear and structured so in the exams I'll be able to answer literally any question!:smile:
