'White people' eh? If you actually read that piece of trash of an article, it described how white people, from countries other than the UK, will by far be the largest growing minority (e.g. other people from Europe).

The hypocrisy of all this is that British people who oppose immigration, also are in the firm belief they have the right to emigrate anywhere they can, because they are British and white.

The truth is mass immigration will affect all countries all over the world, as the world becomes more advanced and developed, not just Britain.

i, like most people and including daily mail readers, do not oppose immigration. it is mass immigration that is opposed.

one is normal and one is extremist -- its like the difference between eating and binge eating.

only 20% of immigrants from the last 10 years have been from the EU. the overwhelming numbers are coming from non EU countries mainly in asia and africa. so not sure where this professor rees gets his 'projections' from?

Only idiots do, and reading it will pull you down to their level. My mum reads it regularly, and I tell her to her face how disgusting it is, and how it vehemently supported the Nazis etc... but she doesn't listen.

The journalism of the paper is so bad, anyone with a few brain cells could poke a million holes in it, but that doesn't make any difference. A vast number of this country's population are en-educated, sensationalist, prejudiced ****s who continue to buy and read this crap. That is the real problem.

the importation of hundreds of thousands of poor, cheap labour units has destroyed the job prospects for the poor and working classes as they are forced to compete in saturated, low wage job market.

britain is also a welfare state. as a socialist, i have looked on in horror as the mass immigration policy has brought the system to breaking point -- its just not economically sustainable to have a decent, high quality welfare state when you have open borders.
welfare state must have high wage, high employment environment only this is impossible with the influx of so many cheap, poor labour units -- even after they arrive, second/third generation immigrant communities are plagued with very high unemployment because they cannot get afoot on the ladder because of the competition from fresh waves of cheap labour and so the spiral downward continues.

then of course there is the fact that immigrants and ethnic minorities are massively overrepresented in crime stats.

but, into the future, maybe these problems will be insignificant as the ethnic, racial and religious demographics continue to balkanise. my family and friends fled parts of the world with very high ethnic tensions and violence and it puzzles me why britain would want to simply give itself all of these potential problems when it was only recently blessed with a stable and homogenous society.

I'm not placing myself personally, I am placing everyone who doesn't read the Daily Mail and other similar publications over everyone else that does.

And tbh, in an ideal world, DM readers wouldn't be anywhere near a position even with the tiniest responsibility, but unfortunately they are as statistically most of them are female, many of whom are also mothers.

I generally find the majority of views expressed in the Daily Mail comments very depressing.
The majority of readers also seem to think that global warming is a hoax by the government to get taxes out of us. Just shows what a ****ed up world we live in where people can be that ignorant

Isnt it? Think of the strain all the third worlders will put on the nhs and public transport. If immigration continues like in the article its quite likely the nhs will cease to exist by 2050
