reapplying with 'narrow miss' marks?!

a very, very long story short.

i graduated highschool with distinction, while also achieving a fairly respectable 37 ib points for my diploma. i'm currently a first year politics student at another Russell group institution. i'm thinking of reapplying through UCAS, this time to study law at LSE. the standard offer as currently listed is 38, but would there be any point in me applying, seeing as my grades are not predicted, but rather a solid diploma already awarded? also, with a year of university experience under my belt already, would i be a realistic candidate for admission?

please be brutally honest with me. i'm sure i can handle it  and thanks!
