Feel completely unprepared for this.
Going into college early tomorrow to revise until lunch.
What key points do you think I should definitely go over to make sure I don't completely screw this up. Kinda damage control :colondollar:

I think there will be quite a lot of key points unfortunately:

- orders of reaction and working out rate equation
- calculating the rate constant (k)
- calculating Kc and effect on Kc
- calculating Ka
- effects of ionic size and charge on lattice enthapy and enthalpy of hydration
- entropy & free energy
- cells and electrode potentials ( know how to draw a half-cell)
- transition metals, complex ions and their reactions
- Born-Haber cycles
- Buffer solutions
- know some facts about fuel cells
- Kw calculations

There is a lot to cover in this unit and usually they manage to fit most of the things into the exam :frown:
Hope this helps and good luck tomorrow!

That helps a lot actually, I'll go over as much of it as possible tomorrow
Good luck to you too

Jeez!! That was a really difficult exam! D:

Is it just me or this paper was harder than Jan 2013?

Guys what are your A* grade boundary predictions?
I dont think this paper was as challenging as Jan 13! There was some weird questions but only about 6-7 marks worth. I think grade boundaries may be high
Oh my days what even was that?

83/100
Not as hard as Jan 13, some of the questions were worded strangely but none were impossible to work out.. And the last question was much better than Jan!

For real? I thought Jan 13 was much easier than that?! Wasn't a fan of that paper

I found that really hard, I only needed 65/100 for an a overall but I'm doubting I even got that! I'm just hoping for low grade boundaries!

Many people from this exam at my college found this hard - low grade boundaries!!
I thought the last question was a bitch, mind you, jan 13 question 8 was also a bitch, so at least this time it was less marks.

Aside from question 8 and 7 the exam was ok, but question 8 oh my days x.x
Anyone know the formula for the last question?

That was the hardest paper i've come across, and i did all the past papers. I thought it was just consistently tricky the whole way through, surely low grade boundaries?! Was hoping for an A* but its absolutely out the window now

I got NiSO4.7H2O
seemed to fit in with the molar mass
