I am doing a Chemistry Qualitative next week with the title:

Qualitative 3

You will attempt to identify unknown solutions;
You will investigate reactions of a Group 2 compound.

Has anybody already done this one? If so, any tips?

Hey! How did yours go? I've got mine on Thursday :smile:

Hey, I'm doing an AS qualitative tomorrow, the title is 'Identifying reactions of copper and silver salts'. Has anyone done this one before?
I think silver nitrate and copper (ll) nitrate might come up, but I'm not sure...

Im doing that too! We have to make a solution of copper (ii) sulfate and for silver salts, silver nitrate will most likely come up and its reactions with halides:smile:

Woah. That was like a year ago. It wasn't difficult. Just follow the instructions, and use your application of reactivity of group 2 elements, in order to answer the Qs.
