hey if that's really what he felt then what is he supposed to do, lie about it? maybe he's one of these people who loves adrenaline.

Very sad. The hostage takers probably had little intent on killing anyone, they just wanted the Algerians to stop giving France any support.

Hostages didn't die in crossfire, they were executed as the Algerian army began to advance. When the Algerian army attacked, they could have surrendered or they could have become martyrs as they wished. Instead, although at this point there was absolutely nothing to gain from killing hostages , they opted to execute as many hostages as they could.

So please don't pretend that the hostage-takers were nice guys with a simple dream and that things simply got out of hand because the Algerians attacked.

Of course they told hostages that they would let them go - because then the hostages would sit there obediently waiting for it to be over. They're not going to tell hostages that they will be executed because it will encourage them to try and fight or escape.

He didn't have to lie, just refrain gloating on television about how much fun it all was.

The executions only happened when the Algerian army advanced instead of just accepting their demands which was to mainly stop giving France any support.

I originally told you, they never intended to kill anyone.

And this is highly evident on how many people they kept letting go unharmed.

And please don't pretend like they were the most evil people on the planet [or like your typical hostage takers] who only wanted to kill random people and wanted money. Absolutely not, they never wanted to/intended to, they kept letting people go unharmed - and they had clear cut demands that they were determined to carry out.

If you say so. That's why they were letting hostages go free right...

And then you have this Brit joker saying "it was fun", probably was having a laugh with them.

This is ridiculous. If the hostages had died in crossfire you could say they never intended to kill the hostages. But they executed the hostages.

To execute someone, you have to intend to kill them.

You might, for some reason, think that the terrorists did not intend to kill anyone to begin with. But even if that were true, they still changed their minds at some point and decided to kill the hostages. That's intention.

And wtf - they only killed the hostages when the army advanced rather than give into their demands? Do you think the Algerians are at fault for not simply giving into the terrorist demands? What country on Earth would change their foreign policy to suit a bunch of hostage-takers?

Well if they never intended to kill any of them then I guess it's ok, never mind the fact that they actually did kill some of them. The moment a hostage dies the fact that they never intended to kill any of them whether it's true or not, becomes irrelevant.

I'm sure there are better things you can be doing than joining the EDL. Like watching paint dry.

Seriously....don't do it.
