Re: Who else has voted for the first time today?
I arrived at 9.58pm as I'd been at the pub and the woman had already locked the door, she looked so annoyed when I arrived, esspecially as I had no idea what I was doing and completley overlooked the part where I put my paper into the ballot box, and tried to walk out with it in my hand. I wasn't the last though, 2 other people went in after me then she slammed the door shut!

I'm the only one out of my friendship group who got to vote, as everyone else lives in other areas who weren't voting, so it was cool

You need to get on the electoral register.

Also, we only got one candidate round, but I had a choice of 3. Not all parties bother
I am on the register i voted last year, i've found out that in my county only one borough put up a candidate for the elections, so no local elections for most of Nottinghamshire.

Yeah, it was my first time.

I just enjoyed it as a new experiance. I have to say i found it very worrying that people can turn up with new card, no id, say their name and be allowed to vote.

?can that happen in a general election? i was so shocked. Anybody could impersonate you.

You should be made to show ID (such as a driving licence or passport etc) i reckon in order to vote.
