Taking a year out
I'm hoping that my tutor will agree to letting me take a year out (starting this semester) due to personal reasons.
I've been reading up on student finance and am a little confused. Do my payments automatically stop and then resume when I return to uni?

I think I'm right in saying that Student Finance funds an extra year? I'm just wondering whether it would be better to fail the rest of the semester in order to get a full year's funding again (to pay for a flat). It's certainly not ideal but I'd probably be better off financially...?
