HELPPPPPP!!!!! Interior design

hi, im currently doing foundation of art and design from UCA, i plan on doing my bachelors in interior design, can you please guide me about the prtfolio, what should i include in interior design portfolio???
I'm struggling too. I'm on a foundation course at college and I'm specialising in 3D but they're really not much help at all. I've not really done anything or taught anything and I've been given a brief to design a set for a film/tv show/theatre production. But after picking a film like they asked and realising it was just pointless as they already have a film set and the sets are based around the characters/storyline it'd be similar anyway since I had to take things from the actualy film from watching it. So I decided I wanted to design just a house/apartment for like a sitcom such as friends, new girl, sex in the city etc, nothing actually specific just that sort of show. But I dunno if that'd be too boring?
Like, what are you doing on your course? I'm thinking of just doing my own thing since I have an unconditional from NTU (no idea why, not even had an interview, I've done my Alevels, I did an extended diploma in art and design but specialised in fine art and didn't get 300 UCAS points like NTU asks for so). My college is awful so I probably have a better chance just doing my own thing for a portfolio, but I just really wanna know what they're looking for!
