Assuming i'm the first person to arrive on campus, how long will it take from getting there to getting the key to my room?

Accomadation office is just over the road from me but have to walk right round the big fence....... or may just end up in Elle to watch the footie later on lol....(Original post by Dokta)

Nobody heard a peep out of fern hall... I didn't even know it existed until I started doing the whole tour thing.

Re: Information about Halls of Residence at Hertshi can anyone tell me thing i should look out for when coming over to herts as at this point all i know is the the 23 is when i moving in and how to get from the air port to the campus and thats about it. ive been in oz and am flying home to dublin geting a few thing and then flying to london.and i know no one and dont have no ideia of what i should bring or what to do can any one help.

Ok, well what i would advise, is that you read through these threads on here, and if your not sure about what to bring....then search for it in the Herts forums. Its really just clothes and your documents, like your acceptance letter and student finance stuff. You need these to get registered to your course. Have you got accomodation sorted?? Which campus??
When you arrive your campus, you need to go to the accommodation help desk and hand over your accommodation letter (with the green/red sticker) then you get into your room. ch-che-check this out
The registration happens next week and you need to have all documents from SLC/ucas and passport photos.
Ill have a wee juke thru the threads, and repost any, i think could help!!!

Look out for this thread in the herts forum, it was a wile back, but its got alot of information, like what to bring, maps, what to expect etc....im on a public comp at the mo, so i cant link it....ill try to copy some stuff...

Re: Information about Halls of Residence at HertsI origionally applied to 2006 entry an now im goin for 2007 entry, Dunno which halls to pick! Fern sounds ace but will it still be the place to be in 07?? Damn descisions man... lol ;D
