Phd interviews

Hi,

I've got a phd interview tomorrow but i don't know what i should wear. Do they expect you to wear normal uni clothes or should i dress smart (black trousers shirt kinda thing)

Hi! I dont know how relevent this is for your purposes, but for my interviews at Queen Mary (University of London) for an MA and Cambridge and Oxford MPhils, I just wore regular clothes. I think it mattered more that I knew what I was talking about. But, then again, these were relatively informal affairs that I set up with potential supervisors myself. I dont know how PhD interviews are set up, and if they are informal like mine interviews were.
I wore suit and tie, etc to my DPhil interview (at a university other than my current one), if that's any help.

Yes it does. I think i will dress smart.

I wore a pair of decent trousers (no jeans) and a jumper. Nothing too elegant, nothing too casual.
