Sorry, didn't notice this part of your post till now.

"To have" is cael, which can also mean "to get/acquire" etc. If you wanted to say "I have a ball" in Welsh, though, you'd use "with" (gan, efo) eg. "Mae gen i phêl", "Rydw i efo pêl", which literally mean "I am with ball".

I thought it'd be:

Mae pel gyda fi?

I had eaten = roeddwn i'n wedi bwyta or caelais I bwyta?:dontknow:

That works too. Gan, efo, gyda...they all mean the same thing.

Rydw i wedi bwyta.

Roeddwn i'n fwyta is "I was eating".

Cefais bwyd would be "I had/got food".

Hope I'm not confusing you with all this.

He was asking for "I had eaten" which is pluperfect, rather than the simple past. In which case, it's "roeddwn i wedi bwyta", isn't it?

Yes, you're right. My bad. Welsh isn't an easy language sometimes.

How do you say "me" and "you" etc as direct object pronouns...

Like:
I hate him
He likes me
They saw us

Etc

Shwmae maeshw pawb  I speak Welsh fluently, studied it up to GCSE level first language, spoken it since I was 3 and still speak it at uni, but remember my Welsh is very much spoken rather than writing, so what I say probably won't pass any exams for you, but it's how we say it oop North.

Dwi'n casau fo/e.
Mae o'n hoffi fi.
Gwelsom nhw ni.
Me - Fi
You - Ti
Him - Fo, e
Her - Hi
Them - Nhw
Us - Ni
