FP1: Hyperbolas - is this correct?

Hi there, I have made up a Hyperbola myself and drawn a graph of it, please could someone tell me If it is correct:

Your drawing is fine but in your working you gave the asymptotes as y=±2x\displaystyle y=\pm 2x which is not correct.

Remember, this is a shifted hyperbola so the asymptotes are not simply y=±bax\displaystyle y=\pm \frac{b}{a} x.

It is correct. Your asymptote is y'=+-2x' in the shifted new coordinate system (x',y').
In original y+1=+/- 2(x-3) is the equation
