Dunelm Mill
Bit of a long shot but, does anyone work at or has worked at a Dunelm Mill shop. I've just sent off an application for some weekend work at my local one. And just wondered if anyone had any info about what the interview is like or just what its like to work there really. Just in case by some chance I do get the job.

    Thanks in Advance

    Re: Dunelm Mill
I worked there part-time sundays only for 7 weeks. Got £4.20 an hr (im 17) working in the coffee shop. i didnt like it. if u get i choice work on the shop floor it looks so much easier. As a company i thought they were really poor i was supoose to get till training...i didnt and had to make it up and i was left on my own for an hour at peak time on my 2nd shift it was chaos. Also this store had poor management i was payed in correctly and even after i left i had to make phone calls and send letters it was 3 months b4 i was payed. i think maybe i was just unlucky im sure ull be fine.

as for the interview cant comment i came to store n made an effort but they hadnt even read my application
    xx
PS i really dont want to put u off just speaking truth

    Dont do it!
For £4.20 an hour I would rather shovel sh**
On the shop floor you are given way too many jobs to do in a certain time,no-one
cares if you complain or feel stressed or pressurised, particularly the managers!
The morale is so poor, and training almost non existent.
I have worked there for a year, and have found it 'clicky' (most of the staff are ex woolies employees
or PCSOs) and it is by far the worst company EVER to work for!
I was told I could only go to the loo within reason, and that no-one is irreplaceable!
Great team/morale boosting -NOT!
So happy I have found something else at last!
Erm...this thread was made six years ago. A little too late to give advice.
