Fast Track A-Level

I'm thinking about doing either fast track biology or economics but I don't know what this would involve. I get the idea of doing AS + A2 in one year but I would have to self-teach so could someone explain what it would involve etc

You 'just' pick a specification (AQA, Edexcel etc) and teach yourself the whole A level and take all the units in the summer (entry deadline 21 March). Logistically, Economics would be easier as the practical units are very hard to organise for private candidates.
