Disabled Student Allowance Assessment

I was just wondering what happens in a Disabled Student Allowance Assessment? e.g. Do they ask you questions on what they can help you with o do they expect you to come with things you want funding for and reasons why?

They will look at the evidence you submitted- either medical evidence or an educational psychologists type report. They will identify areas they need to discuss with you and can make suggestions as to support strategies which may help you. If you agree then the recommendations can be made to the funding body to request the relevant funding. Its good to go with some ideas of what areas you think you need support in, or find difficult. What you feel you 'want' funding for may not be possible- its based an your needs not wants.

I seem to remember that they ask what support you've had previously.
