Re: General Studies On Monday 15th May
Dont ask me why, but at our college they insist that we must take GCSE General Studies, and that only during A2 can we attempt to take the A-Level. Really speaks volume of how the college in general views our knowledge and academic ability, the examination for this year is on global warming - such an ambigious and rarely covered topic in the media that i am sure we will all find anything constructive to say about it. :P

Re: General Studies On Monday 15th May
Scientific horizons isn't too bad...although it did have some dodgy questions. On my paper it had:
Why do people who live on main roads have fewer friends than those in the country?
And this thing where you had to work out the number of hedgehogs living on an island. -
Re: General Studies On Monday 15th MayI got those exams today as well!! I don't really no much 4 it either- i don't ave ne books to look at. So I'm just lookin at some past papers.(Original post by Dark Fury)
I've got Cultural and Social Domain (OCR) today - anyone else?
I don't know much about it, what are people looking at for study? -
Re: General Studies On Monday 15th May
As the papers are the same length, our school usually allows us to select the paper that we would like to do first.
For anyone doing OCR, here are a couple of past questions (the essay ones)

3. (a) Briefly describe what you understand by the term 'faith' in the context of religion [10]
(b) 'If a belief cannot be proved it has no value or importance to the human race.' Using examples, examine the validity of this statement [40]

2. 'To say that animals have 'rights' is grotesquely sentimental.' How far do you agree? [50]
If anyone has anymore to give, then please share them with the rest of us. A couple of hours to go!
