The angle x is surrounded by two pentagons and one square. The square has interior angle 90 degrees. The pentagons have interior angle 108 degrees.

So x + 90 + 108 + 108 = 360

So how do we get the answer 54, Mr Mr?

angles at a point add up to 360

interior angle of pentagon is 108

interior angle of square is 90

cos there's two pentagons and a square, x+108+108+90=360 so x+306=360

rearranging for x gives x=54
