T in the Park- anyone been before?

I have offers from both St A and UoE. Getting very into the idea of 4 years in bonny Scotland and think I should kick off my time there with a trip to T in The Park (www.tinthepark.com) which has a great line up this year.

The last time I was in Scotland I was in Garelochhead and spent two weeks at a Royal Marines cadet camp. This looks like 5* luxury compared to skinning and roasting rabbits on an exposed Scottish hillside! :rolleyes:

Has anyone been before and, if so, do you have any tips?

Yea, I've been three times before and going again this year... though this is only my second time camping. What I've learned from last year is:
1. Assume the worst weather wise, last year was a wash-out
2. Don't over-pack, the treck to the campsite could be a nightmare
3. Don't underpack socks, wet feet should be avoided at all costs
4. Be prepared for very drunk people, and to get very drunk yourself
5. See as many acts as possible, or you will regret it!

It's an amazing festival, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I've yet to meet someone who hasn't. The best thing is the people - everyone is so friendly at T, so don't be out off by being approached by strangers. They'll probably talk a lot of ****e but there intentions are normally good and well! You do get a fair amount of idiots, but everyone is just there to have fun (and get drunk).
