Medicine university a level entry?

So basically I want to do A level biology chemistry history and welsh. Does this put me at a disadvantage for not doing maths at a level? Thanks in advance!

No, not at all. Maths is NOT a requirement for medical school.

Incidentally, why does everyone think it is? Who's spreading this misinformation?

Thank you! Much obliged however will my a levels that I've chosen to do get me into a medicine if I get the required grades?

It's not a requirement for anywehere execept Cambridge (well... more specifically Magdalene College Cambridge. The others simply specify three sciences/maths and as few do Physics without maths, and few applying for Medicine don't do BIology, the numbers of successful cambridge applicants who dont do maths is very low.

The misinformation is caused by maths being a traditional A Level to study for medicine (in fact more tradition than BIology. Most fo the doctors I shadowed who went to med school over 25 years ago did Chem, Maths and Physics A level.)
