Baking powder experiment

Hey guys,

I have an idea in mind for an excellent lab. design, but I cannot figure something out:

So, if I dissolve the baking powder (NaHCO3) in water, I'll get it in a buffer with its conjugate base (HCO3- (+NaOH) ) which will also dissolve further to (CO32- (+H3O+) ).
How would I manipulate the amount of HCO3-

Thank you all in advance,
Cheers!

How about adding an alternative source of CO32- ions, from a source without the hydrogencarbonate intermediate? We'd expect from Le Chateier's principle that it would push the equilibrium.
