Hello, can anyone help me out?:/ what does it mean when it says ''to help the antibody fit around the antigen they can change shape by moving as if they had a hinge at the fork of the Y -shape? please help :-(

That's a weird sentence! But I take it to mean like a pair of scissors - the gap becoming smaller/larger to accommodate the shape of the antigen?
It says it in the Nelson Thornes AS textbook, but what you said seems legit so thank youuuu:biggrin:
