Does anyone know what kind of questions come up in the chemistry organic assessed practical?!?
I got 4/12 in the other one so I really need to ace this one.

Do the oxidation state for sulphur and you will see (if i havent made a mistake) that it goes from being +4 in H2SO3 to being 0 at S. so it has gained electrons...

It gets oxidized as H2SO3 is an oxidation agent, it has the ability to accept electrons, therefore if you check the oxidation number of Sulfur in H2SO3 and H2SO4, you can see that Sulfurs oxidation number has increased, from +4----> +6, and therefore we can conclude it is an oxidizing agent.
