Sorry Labour, I am going to storm in and join the discussion.
As the most Europhille Member of this House and Leader of the Pro-Europe Society, we had a Referendum which was in favour of continued membership of the EU. I do not get why someone is calling for one now. Yes the relationship has changed slightly but we should remain in the EU. If there is a Referendum next term, I will strongly campaign for continued Membership. The rules state 1 Referendum per term.
I welcome the Honourable Member's interjection. -

I thank the Honourable Member for this question. Indeed increasingly this government is isolating itself from Europe and pursuing an anti European agenda. I sincerely hope that this ending of VAT is put to a vote in this House so we can properly have an open and frank discussion about this serious tax change. On the issue of the referendum, I have made my views on the issue clear. We had a referendum in the House, less than two years ago, the people unanimously voted in favour of remaining in the European Union and we should respect this decision. This government is on a mission to continuously call for a referendum until the vote is in their favour and this is unacceptable.
I personally do not feel a referendum should be called, however if the house votes in favour of one, I will be campaigning to remain in the European Union. -

The public have no interest in influencing the politics of other nations or in any of the other nonsensical arguments put forward by pro EU members of MHoC. £9billion per year is better spent on strengthening our economy.(Original post by eff01)

Why European Parliament politicians demand it back every time we say no to one of the EU's policies (e.g. December's veto) is beyond me. It's our money and we should be able to have it back if we want it back.(Original post by Morgsie)
The rebate has been left out, Britain gets some money back because Maggie waved her handbag and demanded money back, the UK was quite blocking measures at this time. -

I would say, as I feel that the Hon. Member should agree with, that 18 years plus should be the age of access. -

With regards to the 'Out of touch' part:
When new bills and amendments enter the House, they are done so to cater for changing times. The idea of correcting this with some kind of Bill would be to alter something that is wrong. The internet is relatively new, and so things are slowly coming out which we have to sort out. This is one of them.Last edited by hines; 11-08-2012 at 23:58. -

Would the Member here be endorsing the viewing of such materials by minors? I would question the morality of a 12 year old child viewing such content on their own - this would be entirely wrong, and I would be against this. -
