my teacher gave us two example questions on the new deal:

Explain why FDR faced opposition to the Second New Deal.

How important was WWII in stabilising the economy? (Has a new deal element to it :smile:

The new deal;
If you look on aqa past papers and find the mark scheme for the questions related with the new deal (sometimes don't have it in the question eg how successful was fdr in bringing around recovery- but clearly new deal question) the mark schemes have the factors students might include and though the questions are worded diffrently they want the same content

This seems like a silly question but what does 'influence' mean in these cases? is it like imperialism and expansion through foreign policy? :s-smilie:

There hasn't been any.. Only why was the republican party dominant in the 1920s but there's like 2 pages on that in the book.. Why was he even re-elected? Haha I just assumed it was popularity with the spanish- american war rough rides and with workers and his personality maybe pamana canal.. And guessing that's not correct haha

Yeah three factors all linking TR. I'd assume that's right. I am making a list of every election (not relections) and why the victor won, etc. I think it's about time we got an election question. We haven't since Jan 2011 :smile:

Not really, but there are probably 3 factors for each. McKinley has come up before in an indirect question

3 for Taft: 1) Roosevelt hand-picked Taft. 2) Bryan wasn't as driven as before. 3) Bryan said he'd carry on TR's policies but talked about socialisation of the railroads.
