Re: Ocr A2 Law (criminal): Offical Thread! You are sorely mistaken mate. You are doing the predictions by YOURSELF. Our teachers have talked to the Chief examiners and they have said it's almost 99.5 percent chance that Stat. Interp will come up. They couldn't get it in writing off the Chief Examiner though.(Original post by Danny5876)
You'll find that it does have judicial precedent in it. Look at Source 1 again, it does talk about the hierachy of the courts and the relationship between them.
For example in Source 1 lines 7-9 state: "All courts stand in definite relationship to one another. A court is bound by decisions of a court above itself in the hierarchy and, usually, by a court of equivalent standing."
It is fairly obvious that Source 1 (of which Q1 is always based upon) talks about judicial precedent aswell as statutory interpretation. Furthermore. line 10 does state "doctrine of precedent" and the first few lines are about the "declaratory theory"
The key to success with this unit is to know the sources very well
By the way, i don't want to sound like a di!ck but Crim Law 2 is way easier than Criminal law 1. I have practically learned everything off by heart on the Crim 2 section. I have one exam to go this week then 5 days to revise for Law even more. What i'm shetting is the Special Case Study. I have some model answers that i'll post up later.Last edited by Multiplexed; 12-06-2006 at 21:43. -
Re: Ocr A2 Law (criminal): Offical Thread!I'll post some model answers in a bit. They just make you realise that you dont have to write **** loads and if you use common sense for the special study it's not that hard. I'm also going to post up quizzes for criminal law 2.(Original post by sonya_p)
yeh...not really looking forword to the special study tho. but it makes life so much easier knowing that i dont need 2 revise for judicial precedent
hehe one pressure off my mind.
Your saviour for OCR Law is here! Muahahaha... haha. -
Re: Ocr A2 Law (criminal): Offical Thread!
Alright, here's some quiz/model answers for Criminal Law 2. Not every subject is covered. Tell me when you have tired these out and i'll upload some powerpoints and everything. For people criticising it's quality, there was only 3 people in our class that DIDN'T get A's this January, so go figure:

^ For those that haven't used megaupload before, look at the part where it says wait 45 etc seconds, then download. -

Re: Ocr A2 Law (criminal): Offical Thread!
On the Synoptic Paper the question on SI is likely to be a comparison of the 2 rules my Law teacher said.
Last Year it was Literal V Golden.
I think It will be Literal V Mischief that sounds like a good essay to write,im actually looking forward to the synoptic paper as it seems quite an easy way to scrape loads of marks.
Criminal Law 1 & 2 - 6 DAYS!
* My Birthday * 7 DAYS!
Special Study - 8 days -
Re: Ocr A2 Law (criminal): Offical Thread!OMG model answers for special study!! Wow, you ARE our crim law 2/special study saviour! Thank god we have someone who knows their stuff! Thank you so much!! Am just downloading megaupload at the mo!(Original post by Multiplexed)

Re: Ocr A2 Law (criminal): Offical Thread!
Hey, how long should mega upload take to download? I've pressed download after I waited for the seconds to count down but it doesn't seem to be doing anything it just says 'loading download' but its been saying that for 15 mins...
and I've looked on my comp to see if the files are already downloaded but can't find anything, I do admit I am not very good with comps, could anyone help? Thanks!!!
P.S. I do have broadband so it's not like my comp is a snail... -
Re: Ocr A2 Law (criminal): Offical Thread!I wouldn't risk predicting anything with Criminal Law 2 because it's too hard to predict it. It was easy in CrimLaw1 because some modules couldn't be linked at all & we did a lot of predictions. But for Criminal Law 2 we haven't done any predictions whatsoever or the special study. If i was you, i'd rather learn every topic briefly instead of learning a few topics and ignoring the rest.Hey Multiplexed!!

Yup, i have plenty of stuff for criminal law 1. Will upload in a second aswell as model answers for the special study.(Original post by Dave_G03)
i have to agree mate, those quizzes and model answers are amazing!
Just one request really - do have any stuff from Criminal Law 1, you would then be the saviour of criminal law - even replacing Asif Tufnal (law teacher.net)!!!
After the time is up for waiting, a window should pop up asking you to download it. The files are very small so should take less than one second. Tell me if you are still having troubles as i'll upload it through another method.(Original post by zoea85)

Re: Ocr A2 Law (criminal): Offical Thread! No. The years are not important at all except the AG Reference ones. If you look at the Chief Examiners reports, he never adds in the years or anything. You won't get marked down or up for putting the years in.(Original post by elyse180887)
For the cases is it imperative that we know what year they are? I normally always put them in essays but if it will save me time revising and writing in the exam im all for not putting them in.
& Thanks Sonya. -
Re: Ocr A2 Law (criminal): Offical Thread!
Thank you multiplexed you are very kind!
. I still can't get it to work for some reason though. I signed up to sendspace and it says there is a a file wiating to be downloaded but I can't see anything clickable to download it with. I searched for the file on my computer and I can eventually find it but it doesn't open because 'windows needs to know what file created it', and it won't open in powerpoint or word. it doesn't seem to recognise 'rar' files. either
good luck for your exam! xxLast edited by zoea85; 13-06-2006 at 14:19.
