Thinking of marriage, can't find much suitable in the UK,

Would you guys recommend me to go back to Bangladesh and get married there?

What are the pro's and cons of marrying back home?

I would, you can buy them cheap there, 10 rupees a piece, I heard.

On the down side, they'll all be very very dark, but nothing that a bit of paint won't sort out.

Nah, you have to buy them from India, coz that's the only place they'll sell. :sadnod: No one wants to buy from Bangladesh.

That was good advice. But you'll seriously probs be better over there as they'll be more traditional and READY TOMORROW for marriage, whereas over here they are getting a good education and job first before doing what they should be doing. :smartass::joyman:

    Re: The TSR Bangladeshi Society
Traditional is all good, but I don't want someone sooo traditional that she doesnt realise the challenges and demands of living in the west and raising a family here....

Also communication is vital in any relationship, even more so a marriage, and as is obvious from my above posts, my Bengali speaking skills are rock bottom,

In other words, I couldnt speak bengali to save my life! Hence the communication between me and someone from back home would be very problematic, I'd be flexing between English and Bengali and still would not be able to get my point across!

    Go British-Bengali
Lol, thats the whole point, can't find much suitable british-bengali,

the british-bengali proposals I'm getting are either, too demanding- don't want to even relocate to live in my city after marriage!!! etc etc...
or over the top-been round the block type,

I'm a simple guy, but finding it difficult to find like minded proposals in the UK,

Thats why, been considering the thought of going back home instead...but that also has its downsides.....
