How do I calculate how much my total household income is? And can it be between a certain amount or does it have to be the exact amount that is earned?

It is the income of the adults who you live with who are responsible for you. So mum and dad, or parent and partner. Their income before tax. You get that off last year's P60 if they are PAYE or their tax return if self employed.
