Can i work in a diagnostic laboratory ?

Hi,

I have completed degree in Medical Laboratory Technology and now i am coming to nott's for my post graduation. As most of the students, i also want to work so that i can support my living there.

Now my question is, do I have to work in some cafe, bakery, fuel pumps etc or can i work in a medical laboratory also ? I have 4 1/2 years experience in total and 2 yrs exp as laboratory incharge (for certain departments).
I have 20 hrs work permit / week as i will be coming in tier 4 visa.

I am more interested in Laboratory work as i have been doing it and i like it verymuch but some people here said that you cant work there you will have to work somewhere in cafe etc..

any help would be appriciated.
