Remind me of the time in the past 100 years where 200,000 Christians marched vowing to hang "atheist rulers".

Come on apologists!

It doesn't really matter whether Christians have done this or not. What matters is that they're are people and places in the world where people think it is civilized behavior to demand people who don't agree with your beliefs to be killed.

"Islamic mob", your saying at though Islam sanctioned it, hadn't realised it actually speaks :lolwut: and the fact it wasn't a mob they simply went to protest, every protest generally turns violent in Bangladesh especially if its in opposition to the government

If you bothered to read up anything, you'd realise the protest was called by a group called Hefazat-e Islam....asking for stricter laws, and also you forget that 90% or so of Bangladesh are Muslim, does that mean when they have been protesting for the past few months that all of it has been "Islamic mobs"

And once again, you should also realise the way politics in Bangladesh works, which is corruption and pure non-sense....... about over a week ago people died in the factory collapse, same thing happened there, protest.

And the months before there have been numerous protests in Bangladesh leading to people dying and being injured.............the majority of whom have actually been at the hands of the police force, RAB or Border guards.

There has always been a long enmity between the people of Bangladesh and the government of Bangladesh........... there has ever been 2 presidents who the people supported to an extent........ since such a time its just successive governments which are plundering the money in pointless things, corruption and inability to provide for the people........this includes government agencies who are exactly the same, immune from the court pretty much.

I'm not surprised if people want to go out there and destroy things and attack the government and its institutions, it has always been the case, especially towards the police and the RAB in particular who have been immune from numerous accusations of torture and extra-judicial killings.

None of that is an excuse for killing innocent atheists.

There are differences between how the media has chosen to portray it............the protesters were demanding a new law where the death penalty is possible, and if you haven't realised Bangladeshi politics, everything turns violent. From my understanding it became violent over night when security forces attacked protesters as they were sleeping, etc trying to force them out.........there are already concerns at the actual estimate of people who died..........

It is in Bangladesh though, a country which the world would not miss if it suddenly disappeared without a trace.

Give them facebook, sports, SKY tv, alcohol and pornography and they wouldn't give a **** about Islam.

The fact that they are Muslims is not incidental to this. It is not a mob of people who just happen to be Muslims protesting and/or rioting about something unrelated. They were rioting in support of a greater incorporation of Islam into the country's law. That makes it appropriate to refer to it as an 'Islamic mob.'

Will indeed defend, if you insist on it so much. Remind me of the time in the past 100 years where a country whose population was by far and wide strictly Christian and wasn't ruled by Christian law.

Again, this is no excuse for hanging innocent people. You are trying to defend murder - don't.

Innocent indeed? If you say a person who goes around insulting another's beliefs to fulfill no purpose whatsoever but does it out of sheer spite and does it only to satisfy himself that he has the upper hand and that his 'freedom of speech' is not marred is not calling for trouble, then I suppose they were innocent and deserved no punishment.
"oh it's just a small minority, they aren't real Muslims" once again it's the same old excuses from the left, but no it doesn't wash anymore i'm fed up of political correctness Islam in it's current form goes against every western value and against our way of life. The left wing idealists that so love to defend Islam would love these people to flood into this country and wouldn't mind a Muslim majority in Britain but what happens if Sharia law was implemented what do they thinks going to happen to Gay rights or Transgender rights? what do they think will become of Human Rights and the freedoms they currently enjoy? It's ironic that in the left's push for equality and freedom they are going to destroy everything that they believe in if they got their wish.

Once again Muslims are proving that it isn't a small minority, even the ones on here like 'Iqbal007' are making excuses for them and deflecting the blame onto something else, what Islam needs is more self-criticism and less self pity if they truly wanted to get rid of this extremist element in Islam then instead of making excuses or instead of branding anyone who critisices Islam as a racist they would try to find a way to stop it and try to change the propoganda spread by the extremists not just deny and deflect the huge barbaric problems within elements of Islamic society.
although 200,000 may seem like a hell of a lot of people, if you look on a wider scale, this is still a minority of people with extremist views that the bulk of Muslims would not and do not support. the Muslim population in the world is around 1.6 billion. 200,000 is definitely a minority.

exactly what extremist views are these people promoting you absolute fool by asking that they and their beliefs not be defamed by equal fools who do what they do for no other purpose than provocation. If people ridiculed you and your goddamn beliefs for years and years would you not finally explode. What the hell kind of muslim are you, 'apologising' for your supposed brothers who only ask that they not be slandered.

So you think anyone who dares to question or critisices Islam is 'guilty' and deserves to be slaughtered by Muslims because they were asking for it? that seems to be the Muslim way of life kill anyone who criticizes them. It's funny I have never heard of Atheists slaughtering Muslims or any other Religious group in the name of their beliefs.

Islam doesn't seem to like questions, debate or free thinking as you say "it fulfill's no purpose other than sheer spite" what absolute rubbish i'd say questioning why Islam condones stoning women to death, hanging gays, beheading's, killing people who leave Islam etc... is perfectly reasonable thing why shouldn't those beliefs be questioned?

no need for the insults? I am not apologising on heir behalf, but just trying to stop the generalisation and stereotype that ALL muslims are crazy extremists that want to kill everyone who isnt muslim :/

what so you think every Muslim extremist in the world traveled to Bangladesh? 200'000 is a huge number of people in a riot/protest. It's a minority that actually take part in the violence but there is a good proportion of Muslims that hold these barbaric and backward beliefs and they are happy to sit back, support and watch the extremists commit the violence.

Say just 5% of Muslims worldwide are like this that might be a minority but that's still 80 Million Muslims who hold this view that is a huge problem and something that needs dealt with
see my other post?

well the poster is doing more to disprove your argument that I ever could, he is proving that this support of extremism is held by a good proportion of Muslims for every Muslim like you there is someone like him.
