Biomedical or medical science?!

I've got a real university dilemma!

I cannot decide which course is more beneficial :frown:
Originally I wanted to study at Lincoln university doing a Biomedical Science degree. This includes work experiences.
however, I have looked at Leeds University to, which offer Medical Science. This also offers work experience, yet I'm unsure what the difference is between them!

lincoln is closer to home and would be ALOT cheaper, but I don't want to go for the wrong course that could Change job aspects.

To be clear I want to work in hospital labs, perhaps go into medical research like cancer later on. Which one would be best for that and be most beneficial? I don't want to become a biomedical scientist per say, just work in labs analysing samples ect.

Help would really be appreciated!!
Hi, I'm a 3rd year Biomed at Lincoln. The course here is accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science which is a good thing as it means it is an officially recognised course and teaches you specific skills and areas that they want people to know. We do quite a bit of lab work here, a good 5 hours a week at some points during the year.
One friend on the course is now actually staying on at Lincoln, studying for a PhD in cancer biology, and we have several members of staff who specialise in cancer research, so I would definitely recommend Lincoln if you want to also work in this area. I don't want to actually work as a biomedical scientist either and am actually going on to do science journalism, but the good thing about this course is that it teaches you in a variety of areas, and a lot of employers look for practical skills more than theory nowadays as well.
What I would suggest is look a bit more into whether the medical science course at Leeds has any official recognition and if you have anymore questions about Lincoln, then feel free to ask
