Help please on GCSE maths and uni placement

Hi my a mature student, I applied to university to do my nursing degree but have not got in as I don't have a C grade GCSE in maths. I only have a D grade. I did my GCSE's about 13 years ago.

If I go back to college now and do a maths GCSE will I be able to re-apply? Do you know how long it would take and can you do it alongside your uni placement?

Any helpful tips etc welcomed. I was devasted when I found out I hadn't got in and why. I have re taken my GCSE maths in the past and got a D the 2nd time too :-(

Thank you Hannah

Yea, u can do an evening gcse math course and can gain some care experience in the day time. They mainly for mature student so it may be more suitable. I did mine 2 years ago and all of us had at least c grade at the end. U can re-apply to the Uni once u gained the c grade. The evening math gcse course only take a year to finish and u would have 3 exams.
