Graduated and have NO IDEA of what career you want?

Hey, just wondered if anyone else has no idea what they're doing.

Is it wrong to be fussy?
Is it right to aim for a random sector so you can at least start doing something?
Should we just do masters and other postgraduates while we ponder over it?
etc.

If anyone has any tips or wants to share experiences of once being in a similar position that'd be wonderful.
Having a aim is good.

Just managing to follow that career path can be next to impossible in this economy.

I am still looking for a job, any job, after 6 months of completing an MSc.

Given the state of the economy I recommend sending targeted applications/CVs to multiple sectors. That's what I've done during my 4th year. Most of my coursemates have been solely targeting the chemicals industry and most have struggled to get anything. Those of us that also aimed at finance/banking have achieved a position of some sort and have fared better. Don't be picky initially, do the opposite and be picky if you get a few offers!!

Good luck.
