Is this a valid interpretation about Eric and the inspector?

Hi, i answered the question about Eric in inspector calls, and i foolishy claimed that the inspector was used by priestley as a symbol for the world war i backed it up by showing the change of sheila and eric due to the inspector which could symbolise the change of the british mentality??

is this is a valid intpretation???

I used the quote in the first chapter where eric is urgeing his father to carry on his speech about war, and juxtaposed it with when mr birling is talking again in the last chapter only for Eric to interupt him contiously

I also mentioned how Eric and Shiela intervened throughout the Inspector's interrogations, symbolism that working together is the best form of action in Priestley's eyes, especially when Eric helps Mr Birling successfully push The inspector away and onto Shiela, then as no-one helped sheila significantly she collapsed due to the inspector, i referred this to how Priestley believes that socialist movements are the best way to overcome adversity, rather than working by yourself and for yourself???

are these valid, my teacher thinks it isnt?
and also what grade would i get if i carried on writing about this

I think your interpretation is pushing it a bit...
