Assuming that you can leave all your stuff in halls over xmas and easter, then I'd suggest taking what you need (day to day clothes, coat, fancy dress, going out clothes) at first, and then bringing more stuff over after Christmas?

That being said, my mum wasn't best pleased that I moved out to go to uni Oh and my dad is pretty damn unsupportive, it's unreal
