Two quick AQA GCSE Language questions

After sitting the AQA English literature exam in January,I got an A-which is great.
However, our entire year group is resitting the exam tomorrow to improve our grades (mostly because the A* boundary is ominously wide compared to the lower ones).

I think my key issue was Section A quotations, so, two questions:

1.How often should I be using quotes to support my argument(every point I make or a few in each question)?

2.Would it make much of a difference to my mark if I included relevant facts from the source, but without quoting them?

I don't mind if responses are short; any advice would be helpful at this time : )
