University of Exeter MSc survey participation!

Dear Administrator,

I am a postgraduate student at the University of Exeter and I am conducting research for my dissertation into online discussion forum and Facebook group membership and behaviour.

The purpose of this study is to assess, via an online questionnaire, how important people perceive their membership to an online community to be. There will also be items that assess some of the characteristics of online forum users in the questionnaire.

Results of this study could inform us about why people use discussion forums and Facebook groups, whether there is a difference in the way that people use discussion forums and Facebook groups, and what potential benefits and risks are associated with being a member of such groups.

Participation in this questionnaire could result in winning a £50 Amazon Voucher.

Participant information that is recorded will be kept strictly confidential. Participant name or other identifying information will never be associated with any research reports or publications that use the results of questionnaires. There are no risks of psychological distress associated with this questionnaire.
