Grades required for engineering?
I am looking to apply for a BEng Degree at Teeside and was wondering are universities lenient on what grades are required? I currently have these qualification:
BTEC Level 3 Engineering (Extended) = DDM
AS Maths (private candidate) = C
GCSE English = C
GCSE Maths = C
GCSE Additonal Science = C
BTEC Level 2 First Engineering = Distinction
ICT OCR Award = Pass (CC)
BTEC Level 3 Engineering (Extended) = DDM

If 30 years ago is anything to go by, then yes. My Dad was offered a place on an engineering course even if his A-level grades were all U's, purely because they loved his logical and sensible personality and attitude. If you can give them something they really want to see in a student, that would make you a better choice than a student with perfect grades but no beneficial interests or qualifications, then they will choose you over someone else.
