' Dissed ' Southern UNiversity devalues own degree by inflating grades

Kello there,

I go do a non degree course at a Southern university who has been had badly by this year's rankings.

The results for degrees can out a couple of days ago and fact that they have deliberately lowered standards to boost the no. of 1sts and 2.1s was obvious since half the school got said results.

I know this cause common knowledge circulating around was that many candidates had their mark boosted up by 2-3% to slot them into the band above.

This confirms to me that lower ranked / lousy universities cannot be trusted and standards will vary up or down according to what the situation and who the recipient is.
