Hey i was thinking about applying for the same apprenticeship. Is it the apprenticeship which they sponsor you at university. What grades have you got and how hard was it to get the role? I dont know whether to apply or stick to doing computer science at university.

Yeah it is,

I applied in January and got the place in March, if you apply you may have to wait until November to get a place as they're pretty full now I hear. It is a really good apprenticeship to get into though.

It's worth a shot though, they tick every box for me.

I will be joining in July too but I will be based in London. I guess I will probably see you or anyone else in Telford in a few weeks

What was the telephone interview like? And have either of you had jobs before? I'm fairly academic but struggling to come up with some example answers to these questions as I haven't had a job or anything before.

I've just passed the telephone interview and am waiting for the assessment day to hopefully start in November and was hoping you could answer some questions.

How was the assessment day? Do you know if many people got turned down? And how is telford? I'm also going to be based in London if i get in

I went to the assessment day last week. We started of with a group exercise and then half of the group sat the aptitude test while the other half had their one to one interviews and then we switched over. I think you would be starting in January if you got the place seeing as we were told that the November start was filled up.

It's fun, a lot of learning to do but good time to socialise etc.. Going very well so far!

Hi, I have sent off my application for the higher apprenticeship and eagerly awaiting a reply. How long did it take them to get back to you? Also, what kind of questions were you asked in the telephone interview and apptitude test?
Thanks

Did they do any aptitude tests during their recruitment process? Did you find them difficult?

Hiya,

Capgemini run a really cool programme! Congrats to those of you who've got a place.

If you want to know more about the specifics of how much experience you need and tips from those on apprenticeship programmes with Cap already, there are hundreds of reviews from Cap's Higher and Advanced apprentices on RateMyApprenticeship. If you want to have a looky here's a link. goo.gl/5AzC19

Good luck!!!

I'd suggest looking at these reviews on RateMyApprenticeship.co.uk - at the bottom of each review the apprentice gives their top application tip. And that's coming from people who have been there are done it.

Good luck! I hope it goes well, they'll see that your passionate and really take that into account so make sure that comes across!
